From the very beginning of Plankton Planet, one of the identified actions has been awareness-raising. This is achieved through mediation and art. It is within this framework that the Plankton & Art project, the dome, the 3D models, and more recently, the Plankton Festival have been developed.

The Plankton Festival
In February 2024, under the initiative of sailor Amaury Guérin and with the support of Plankton Planet, a Plankton Festival was launched in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. Eager to share his scientific adventure aboard his sailboat Pilourson with the residents of his hometown, Amaury brought together the mediators of Plankton Planet to create a unique educational experience: seawater sampling, microscope observation, and handling of scientific equipment.

The festival attracted more than 400 visitors, including 200 students from local schools. The essential role of plankton in marine biodiversity and climate resonated with the audience. The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate the christening of the Mini 6.50 Groupe Satov sailboat and to enjoy a musical tale, “Sur le pont,” performed by Isabelle Autissier and Pascal Ducourtioux.
