Damien Guiffant

Bio sketch

Damien Guiffant has a scientific background in cellular biology and physiology. During his PhD, he was interested in the use of the yeast as a model and a tool to study the mechanism of action of small molecules with strong pharmaceutical potential in diseases with cell cycle disorders. Later, Damien had an experience as sales engineer in a company specialized in the in vitro diagnostic. In 2011, he came back to the research field as the European FP7 Marine Genomics for Users (MG4U) project manager. Since 2013, he is in charge of the French Investments for Future project OCEANOMICS, coordinated by Colomban de Vargas. Interfacing with project partners, funding agencies and public, he takes care of administrative, financial and communication issues. In the framework of Plankton Planet, Damien provides support with the financial issues during the current preparative phase.
